  • Susan Bates® Knitting Needles: 15 mm [US 19]
  • Yarn needle

 

Measurements:
2" (30.5 cm) wide and 24" (61 cm) around

 

Abbreviations:
k=knit;
p=purl;
st(s)=stitch(es).

 

Gauge:
Gauge is not critical.

 

Notes:
Piece is worked back and forth in rows then cast-on and bind-off edges are sewn together to form cowl.

 

Instructions:

COWL
Cast on 17 sts.
Row 1: K1, p2, k4, p3, k4, p2, k1.
Row 2: P1, k2, p4, k3, p4, k2, p1.
Repeat Rows 1 and 2 until piece measures about 24" (61 cm) from beginning.
Bind off, leaving a long tail.

FINISHING
Using long tail, sew cast-on and bind-off edges together.
Weave in ends.
