Gauge1 stitches, 2 rows, 3 inches. stockinette stitch

Materials:

  • RED HEART® Boutique Twilight™ - 1 ball 9959 Mercury
  • Susan Bates® Knitting Needles: 25mm [US 50]
  • Yarn needle

 

Measurements: Cowl measures 8” [20.5 cm] wide x 40” [101.5 cm] circumference, unstretched.

 

Abbreviations:

cm = centimeters;

mm = millimeters;

[ ] = work directions in brackets the number of times specified.

 

Gauge: Gauge is not critical for this project.

 

Instructions

Cast on 13 stitches.

Row 1: [Knit 1, purl 1] 6 times to last stitch, knit 1.

Row 2: [Purl 1, knit 1] 6 times to last stitch, purl 1.

Repeat Rows 1 and 2 until piece measures 40” [101.5 cm] from beginning.

Bind off.

 

FINISHING

Sew short ends together. Weave in ends.
