Knitting Needle Size8 or 5 mm

Gauge15.5 stitches, 28 rows, 4 inches. garter stitch

Materials List

  • 5 balls Pure Merinos Francais Yarn in Souris (A) (29134)
  • 5 balls Pure Douceur Yarn in Pigeon (B) (29481)
  • 5.0 mm straight knitting needles
  • 1 wool needle

The snood is made using a strand of color A and a strand of color B knitted together. Prepare the yarn before starting by winding the two balls together.

Instructions

Using 5.0 mm needles and 2 strands of yarn together, cast on 126 sts. Continue in G-St until work measures 60 cm (23 in) [170 rows] total.

Cast off all the sts and cut the yarn 80 cm (31 in) from the work. This will be used to sew the seam.

Fold the snood in half and using the wool needle stitch the side seam.

Slip the remaining yarn through a few stitches and cut off.

Secure and weave in all ends in the same way.
