Ear Muffs
With B and pair of double-pointed needles, cast on 2 sts.

2nd row: Knit.
3rd row: K2tog. K1. 2 sts.
4th row (i-cord row): K2. Do not turn work. Slide sts to other end of needle.
Rep last row for i-cord 8 times more.

Cast off.
Finishing
With black embroidery thread, embroider eyes and buttons. With orange embroidery thread, embroider nose using a French knot.
Cut 2 pieces of black pipe cleaner each, approx 1¼" [3 cm] long. Insert into each side of Snowman for arms.
Snowman with Ribbon Scarf
Cast on 10 sts.
1st row: (RS). Knit
Turn work upside down. With WS facing and second needle, pick up and knit 10 sts along cast on edge. 20 sts.
Divide sts into 5 sts on 1st and 2nd needles and 10 sts on 3rd needle.
Join in rnd, placing marker on first st.

fasten securely.
FINISHING
With black yarn, embroider 3 X's for button detail evenly spaced down front of Body. Embroider eyes using French knots. Thread beads onto craft wire or pipe cleaner, bend into a circle to make halo and twist ends to secure. Sew in position at top of Head. Tie ribbon around neck and tack ends down.
