  • Size 4.5 mm (U.S. 7) knitting needles or size needed to obtain tension
  • 12 large jingle bells
  • Separating zipper

 

GAUGE: 20 sts and 26 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] in stocking st.

Cast on 3 sts.
1st row: K1. M1. K1. M1. K1.
2nd and alt rows: Purl.
3rd row: K1. M1. K3. M1. K1.
5th row: K1. M1. K5. M1. K1.
Cont in this manner, inc 2 sts on every alt row until there are 47 sts.
Work 5 rows even in stocking st, ending with RS facing for next row.
Next row: K1. Sl1K. K1. psso. Knit to last 3 sts. K2tog. K1.
Rep these 6 rows until there are 7 sts.
Work 5 rows even. Cast off.
 

FINISHING

Block each panel to measurements using schematic as a guide. Sew seams alternating colors as illustrated, leaving centre back seam open. Sew zipper in open seam.
Attach one jingle bell to end of each panel.
