How to Knit the Snowdrop Lace Stitch

Snowdrop Lace Stitch Knitting Tutorial

  1. Cast on a multiple of 8 stitches plus 5. 

  2. Row 1: move your yarn in back and knit one. Then, yarn over, slip one, knit two stitches together, pass the slip stitch over, yarn over, and knit 5.

    Repeat the instructions in bold until you only have 4 stitches left on your row.  

    Yarn over, slip one, knit two togther, pass the slip stitch over, yarn over and end your row with a knit one. 

  3. Row 2: Turn your work to the wrong side and pearl across all stitches. 

  4. Row 3: Turn your work and repeat row 1. 

  5. Row 4: turn your work and pearl all the way across. 

  6. Row 5: knit one, knit three, yarn over, slip one, knit just one, pass the slip stitch over, knit one, knit two together, yarn over.

    Repeat the instructions in bold until you only have 4 stitches left on your needle. 

    Knit your last four stitches. 

  7. Row 6: Turn your work to the wrong side and pearl all the way across. 

  8. Row 7: knit one, yarn over, slip one, knit two together, pass the slip stitch over, yarn over, knit one, yarn over, slip one, knit two together, pass the slip stitch over, yarn over, and knit one.

    Repeat the instructions in bold until only four stitches remain.

    Yarn over, slip one, knit two together, pass the slip stitch over, yarn over and knit one.

I love this. I'm a visual learner, so it's hard for me to look at a pattern of instructions and imagine what I need to be doing to create a stitch pattern. This is such a gorgeous stitch. Can't wait to try it!
