How to Knit the Seafoam Stitch

For beginners who want to try something lacy and fun that isn't super complicated, the seafoam stitch is just for you. This video tutorial will take you through this stitch, step-by-step, including how to work that particular style of drop stitch that is unique to this stitch pattern.

The seafoam knit stitch uses the basic garter stitch and multiple yarn overs to achieve its airy look, although you could also experiment with incorporating stockinette or even seed stitch into this pattern in place of garter stitch. Your pattern will tell you where to place your extra yarn overs and drop stitches, but the actual technique is so easy and fun to do if you're just looking to practice! Create a finished fabric that flows effortlessly from row to row with this easy knitting tutorial. The seafoam stitch can be used for so many wonderful patterns.
