The lacy bind of is a super cute and easy way for you to bind off on your knitting projects. The lacy bind off is the perfect bind off technique for patterns that you want to be a little bit stretchier. In fact, this bind off is stretchy enough that we really only recommend it for patterns that have a wider gauge (such as lace knitting patterns) or for projects that you want to have a little bit of a wider bind off to stretch the fabric horizontally.

Materials List

  • Knitting needles
  • Yarn
  • Finished pattern

Instructions

  1. Knit the first two stitches of your bind off row.

  2. Slip these two worked stitchess back to left needle.

  3. Knit those two stitches together through the back loop.

  4. Knit one stitch. Then slip both stitches back to your left-hand needle.

  5. Knit two together through the back loop.

  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until you've bound off all of your stitches.
