I am working on this pattern in the hopes of putting the sweater on a teddy bear. What size teddy bear would be appropriate to buy? I can't tell how big the finished sweater will be and would appreciate any help you can provide.

The pattern actually states it is a 1 month size sweater, which is odd, since nothing is sized for a 1 month old. The average newborn is 18-22" long, so if you are working to gauge, you will want to purchase a bear about the size of the newborn or the about the size of a cabbage patch doll which are about 18". When I've had this dilemna in the past I take the sweater or clothing with me to the store and try it out on the doll or bear to make sure it fits. Hope this helps, happy knitting!

OMG! The sweet face on this teddy bear sweater is too much to handle. My nephew would look so cute wearing this during winter.

I really like this and it would really be great to make for my grand sons. They are twins so I will have to make two of these but it will be worth the work to see them in this. It's a very easy pattern so that won't be an issue.

This is unbearably adorable. Such a cute idea for baby.

This is a cute sweater for a little one. It has an adorable bear face worked on the front. The pattern for this sweater is given in a one month size, but instructions for enlarging are also given at the end of the tutorial. Cute sweaters like this can normally only be used by tiny babies so you may not need a larger size.
