this would be ideal any season worn with jacket and jeans or dress pants/skirt to the office or auction sale has so much more class than a regular t-shirt. Impressive indeed.

Hi Gina, Just downloaded your superb pattern. Just one question you say that US size 11 needles are a bit small - what size would you suggest for a thicker double-knitting yarn? With many thanks and lots of love from a very sunny Rothwell, Northamptonshire in England. Sheila

This is not Gina Michelle's page, this is a pattern hosting website, so it's unlikely she'll ever see your question.

The needles Uk size would be 0, the yarn is heavier than a double knitting yarn it is an Aran yarn.

Just made this and I'm so happy with how it turned out! It's the first sweater I knitted!

She refers to stitching 16.5 inches before you start the sleeves. Is that 16.5 from the beginning of the stockinette or the who,e sweater?

The patterns states 16.5 inches from the beginning, which means the beginning of the piece, so from the cast on edge. Hope this helps someone. Happy knitting

Love sweater but need plus size pattern. 50 i- 52 inch size. Can you help me with that. Muriel in Angola, NY

You add 4 stitches for every 3 inch increase in size so 60 stitches for large (as stated in the pattern) will give you 40 inches, so you will add 4 stitches for each additional 3 inches in pattern, in your case adding 16 stitches will give you 52 inches. hope this helps.

can you adjust the pattern for us size medium and large size women also, not just for the small size. I really like this pattern, but need the instructions for a size L or XL. Much appreciated, really excited about knitting this simple sweater this summer! Sandy b
