Peachy Keen Oversize Knitted Sweater

The Peachy Keen Oversize Knitted Sweater is a great basic design for those who are looking for a fashionable free knit sweater pattern. This pattern does not require any special knitting skills or fancy stitches. Instead, it is a beautifully constructed addition to your wardrobe. The oversize trend is incredibly popular right now and the soft color will look creamy on any skin tone. Since this is a perfect sweater for beginners, there's no need to worry about a confusing set of instructions. You don't have to spend a large sum of money buying a sweater at a store when you can make a lovely statement piece with your own needles and yarn.

I started this pattern and now the links does not work. Please help. I dont know where to find it.

I found it on web archive here-https//web.archive.org/web/20180514092356/htt == ps//eatmeblog.com/blog/2016/09/27/oversized-sweate == r-knitting-pattern/

Can someone who has made this sweater help me understand the directions for Row 1-9. I understand that you do Row 1 - 9X's. What I don't understand is if you repeat the pattern of (Slip stitch knitwise, K1, P1) for the whole row purling the last stitch or do you only do (Slip stitch knitwise, K1, P1 one time and then purl the rest of the row. Please help.

It's the ribbing, so it is Slip 1 stitch knit wise, knit 1, purl 1 to last stitch, purl last stitch. The problem is that the designer has not specified the repeat properly. To get the ribbing that shows in the picture, you would need to do what I did and that is what I have written here.

This is a very cute sweater. I love the color. Just a heads up for any of the Editors that are reading this.the link no longer works. The actual website no longer exists. I am not sure if anyone saved the actual pattern so that it could be included here on this page.

I am going to use the words big and sloppy to describe this sweater and not in a negative way. I love sweaters like this because they are comfortable and will look great over a pair of leggings. It looks easy to work up and using the right yarn it will look great. Price these in the store and see how much they go far. That will really make your mind up about making one. Thank you.

This pattern does not says sew the shoulders but does not have shoulder shaping so how many inches at shoulder should we sew and how many inches to leave for the neckline? Also it does not say how many stitches to pick up around the neckline. Can anyone tell me?

I have to agree with you, this pattern is very poorly written. I do realize the designer was going for simplistic, but missing instructions and simplistic are not the same thing.

This is so cute! I've been looking for a sweater pattern to make for my friend and I think I'll give this one a try!

WOW, is this darling or what! I love the color the author worked the sweater up in. I checked the pattern over and was shocked how quick and easy it is going to be to work up. Summer here currently, but I am going to start this very soon. I am excited to get started and then this fall to be snuggled up in this summer. I think this might be a great sweater for my daughter in laws also for Christmas

Boy this looks comfy, perfect for a cold evening. I like that it is supposed to be big, so a precise fit is not required. I think I would enjoy wearing it more if the opening was a big smaller, so it didn't fall over my shoulder so much. Maybe I'll make it as is and then sewing up the opening more if I don't like it.

I'm just learning to knit, but I do spin my own yarn. I love this sweater and this pattern just calls out for some of my thick and luscious merino yarn! Now I need to figure out what color to make it (yes, I dye my own too.) Suggestions would be welcome. Anyone care to mentor me on this one?

Not only an attractive even happy sweater, but one that a knitter who has not a lot of experience can knit and have a sweater of which she is absolutely proud.

I was just thinking the same thing. I've been knitting my whole life but mainly hats, scarves and other patterns that don't call for measurements. The one time I tried to make a sweater it fit but didn't look quite right on, so I never tried again. This sweater seems so easy I may try it again, and because it's designed to be oversize it won't be too tight.

go for it! this sweater turns out really well and looks as good as hoped for - my teen-aged granddaughter wears it with a tank top under
