Not sure why so many good patterns use wool ease thick and quick, when so many people are allergic to it and find it intolerable to work with or wear. There is a thick and quick yarn that is acrylic, so I will use that instead.

I do not like sweaters with a super bulky yarn. They're just too heavy and I get too warm. Do you think there would be a way to modify this for a lighter weight yarn?
