This throw pattern looks to me like a great stash buster project! I generally don't like knitting pieces in all stockinette stitch because the edges tend to curl, but the designer suggests slipping the first stitch of each row knitwise to make a nice edge. I'll try that and see how it works.

Such a nice, quick and easy throw to make. A group of us friends get together once a month to knit throws and lap blankies for patients in a local chronic care facility and this would be a lovely addition to the patterns we already use. We always include bright, happy colors in our blankies and the colors in this design are so nice that I think I am going to make one exactly the same.

This is a very pretty blanket made from worsted weight merino wool yarn. I think the variations in the kettle dyed yarn add a lot of dimension to the project. Since gauge is not really important on items such as throws, it would be easy to substitute any worsted weight yarn to make a similar afghan in a washable product. This is certainly easy enough for beginners since the entire project is knit in garter stitch too.
