Just one word, awkward, this is not a mindless knit, you must pay attention to each and every row since there is no rhythym to the pattern, the yo being next to a purl after a knit 2 together leaves no room for rhythym with this pattern.

The yarn is actually a #6 super bulky yarn, so glad I double checked, I would have grabbed the wrong yarn weight from my stash to make it.

I have lots of regular yarn. How many stitches and size needle would I need to make this prayer shawl?

The answer to your question would actually depend on what you are calling "regular" yarn.

The stitch pattern is a multiple of 3 plus 12, so to alter the size or use different yarn, you would need to add or subtract in groups of 3 without changing the plus 12 stitches.

I love the royal blue color and the airiness of this 8 Hour Lace Shawl. I just wished I could see the shawl clearly. This would have been appreciated if taken in a better angle.

Hi Zeemer, if you view the corresponding video for this pattern, you will be able to see multiple angles of the shawl. Hope this helps! -Editors of AllFreeKnitting
