The One Skein, No Purl Scarf is one of those fun beginner knitting patterns you'll want to add to your list of projects. Purling can be a pain, making this knit scarf pattern fantastic. Found this easy to make scarf pattern under the Whats Hot tab listings today. Looks like I saw this pattern earlier this month when it was featured as a pattern of the day and I commented on it then also. I have no recollection of seeing this scarf before but I obviously did which makes the colors for this unremarkable.

Very simple and a great stash buster! One skein of sock yarn, one stitch marker and 4mm needles is all the materials required to make this scarf. Gauge is not important with this project unless you need a particular size. This is a great beginner project with no purl stitches.

The 'save pattern" button no longer appears with this page as it did in past - is there a new way to "save" to my collection?

Hello janiceamidon 38706 67, we recently updated those buttons. They can be found at the end of the pattern. To save a pattern, click the gray button that says "+Save" on it. Hope this helps! -Editors of AllFreeKnitting

Knit up beautiful using whole skein. Would use circular needle next time.

Kind of goes without saying that a circular needle would be used for a pattern that you are constantly increasing on. No reasonable knitter would expect to make this on straight needles.
