Chaukor Moss Green Wrap

This lacy Chaukor Moss Green Wrap features a neat, grid-like pattern that will make you think of stained glass. If you're looking for a knit shawl pattern or want to know how to knit a scarf, you'll enjoy knitting this gorgeous Chaukor (check out the pattern at Swatch Love to find out exactly what a Chaukor is!). This shawl is the perfect way to wrap your shoulders on a warm summer night--it will cover your arms while still allowing breeze to flow through its lace pattern and cool you.

Chaukor (pronounced chalk-ore) is defined as a rectangular shawl featuring a grid-like, textured lace pattern. The pattern tutorial includes both a written instructions and a chart. The finished length, depending on your gauge is approximately 71 inches by 13 inches. The main stitch pattern is worked over a multiple of 15 stitches and 18 rows.

Just to mention, the yarn weight listed above on this page is incorrect. The pattern calls for fingering weight yarn (1), which is slightly heavier than the lace weight (0) listed. Fingering weight is also sometimes called sock weight. Using such a light yarn with size 6 needles will certainly add to the lacy appearance of the pattern.

Hello 3cats2love, the yarn weight for this pattern has been updated. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. -Editors of AllFreeKnitting

an unusual pattern and a new challenge - looks good in the green as shown, but how about a royal blue or a deep burgundy? Yes, I have to try
