Mint green is my new favorite color this year. I love the way mint green looks with gray and with white jeans. I don't wear headbands out it public, but I'm looking at this pattern and thinking of a way to make it longer in to some type of scarf. The color and the cable pattern are beautiful!

The cables in this headband are adorable and it looks wide enough to be practical. Some of them are too think to cover the ears. I know some teenage girls who will love these!

This is an attractive headband - the cable in the centre and the cabled edgings in a project that is not so large as to overwhelm a knitter beginning to experiment with cable stitch provides practice in an item that can be finished in a short time and worn with pride. I have long felt that beginning knitters should be able to start with a project that is real, not a garter stitch square or scarf, and when it is time to try new stitches, the project should be something doable and wearable. This headband meets the criteria.
