This is a basic hat pattern and will never go out of style. I knit a lot of hats, both for myself and my charity and this will be an ideal pattern to use. I usually don't like double pointed needles but I will use it for this pattern. Thank you.

I haven't tried it but I'm pretty sure you can use circular needles instead of do.

What a great pattern! I love the long ribbed cuff on the bottom so you can pull it down over your ears and leave the top slouchy, or fold it up and make it more of a beanie. I also like knitting it in the round so there are no seams to sew up.

What an adorable beanie! I love how the top is a little bit slouchy. This look is very on trend right now. I definitely think that this pattern would take me a while to knit up. I would like to challenge myself to knitting in the round and this just might be the pattern to do it! I love that the yarn weight is fairly light. It would make a lovely fall cap for when the weather starts getting cooler. I might even challenge myself to rewrite the pattern as a knit-flat if I'm feeling ambitious! I'd love to see people's photos of their finished hats.

nice easy pattern have done the hem doubled up and will add purple crystals to give to my mate off santa lol

I love this beanie, though I consider it more of a slouch. Simple and interesting, it adds a great pop of color to my winter wardrobe. It took me significantly longer than the few hours that the pattern promise. I rightly assumed with the gauge needles it calls for and the type of yarn that it would take me several evenings over the course of a week to complete it, so don't be discouraged if it takes significantly longer.

Made this for my husband and he loves it. Definitely takes much longer than a few hours to knit though.

And I thought I was just a slow knitter... thank you for validating the time factor!
