This may well fall under the category of 'Easy', but the pattern certainly is not. Am I the only one who is struggling to understand it?

It's not loading in Feb 2015

Are there any written directions for this sweater? (Shadow Cardigan) I see the diagram with notes on it, but they are extremely hard to follow. SSR753

I opened and printed this pattern on my 2010 issue IMAC. Printed beautifully-no troubles. Used photo glossy paper (enlarged photo with picture capture) for one large picture of the sweater to see detail. Thanks for the pattern.

Hi kmkush 6866997, The pattern opened fine for us; it appears that it opens as a PDF, so please make sure you have an updated version of a PDF reader, such as Adobe. Hope this helps! --Editor of AllFreeKnitting

I am also unable to open the page that contains the instructions! Would someone be so kind as to copy & paste the instructions for the shadow pattern (not the sweater) for me? I love the blocks. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!

I was able to download this pattern with no problem. It came through as a .pdf file, in spite of "Microsoft Word" in the title. Try opening it with Adobe Reader. However, I have another problem with this pattern. The description above calls for size 3 or 4 needles--with worsted weight yarn? The downloaded pattern is from New Zealand. Is it possible that the designer intended the needle size to be 3 mm (no equivalent US size) or 4 mm (US size 6) or possibly English size 3 (US size 10) or English size 4 (US size 10 1/2)? The pattern includes no stitch gauge information to help determine the needle size.

I made this sweater and i can tell you the directions were sketchy. if was not an experience knitter and had the internet as a tool i could not have finished it. first of all when one casts on they need to do a provisional cast on because you have to come back and pick up those stiches to go the other direction and because of the pattern you have to reverse the design to make it consistent. i made it for a child so i totally made my own guage to make it fit a child. I used US 3 and 4 for the child version.

Downloaded this pattern with no deciphering the pattern is another story. Am I the only one with this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just downloaded this pattern and printed it off. Maybe you are having difficulty with your internet or printer connection.

@knittynoddy 7145842: I have tested this pattern download and it seems to be working properly on our end. You may need to install the most recent version of Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer to download this pattern. You can download the reader for free at this address: Hope this helps! -- Editors of AllFreeKnitting

I cannot get this pattern to download. It acts as if it's downloading and then says done and I get 5 blank pages. Is this a glitch at your end?

I cannot open this pattern because I do not have MS Word.
