Bias Quick Knit Baby Blanket
"This baby blanket is a larger version of my dishcloth pattern, same principals, but enlarged. I had loved making the dishcloths / facecloths that I thought I’d see if the pattern would make a good blanket. It does! This project is a fairly quick knit. I consider it a weekend project or an hour at night after work and done by the end of the work-week project."
Knitting Needle Size8 or 5 mm
Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

- 4 balls of Sugar 'n Cream
- Knitting needles
- Tape measure
- Tapestry needle

Very good pattern, I like to double or triple the yarn and it comes out super plush, you can even add eyelets, I do every 12 rows or so, not challenging enough it's a beginners pattern LMAO

What kind of care does a cotton blanket made of sugar and cream need?

Hi zzzzz, Lily Sugar and Cream cotton yarn is great because it's easy care. You can machine wash and dry it. Some people like to block knitted items after washing to maintain their shape rather than putting them in the dryer. I use this yarn a lot for kitchen and bath items and it holds up really well.

Why didn't I think of using this yarn for a baby blanket? You learn something new every day. This is great for a summer arrival. I love the colors used in this pattern as well. I used to live in Tucson, AZ so I got used to knitting with cotton yarn and love it. I will definitely use this pattern with the cotton yarn. It is easy to wash as well and will not "pill". Thank you.

I love this idea of just graduating a dishcloth pattern into a baby blanket. The preemie blankets I make for charity need to be quite small, so this is the perfect way to get the desired size. Thanks!

This makes an excellent and very stretchy baby blanket. In the smaller sizes it works well to bundle an infant. In the larger sizes it makes a great crib blanket or favorite blankie for a child to carry around. I recently made a crib blanket size out of cotton chenille. It so snuggly and soft. This blanket style is also a great way to use up leftover yarn.

I like this pattern for dishcloths but it is not as pretty as a baby blanket. I t would be easy to knit but not very challanging. Will keep looking for a prettier baby blanket pattern.
