Log Cabin Spread

(5 Votes)

The log cabin knitting technique is an awesome way to bring more color into your home. Thanks to this gorgeous knit blanket pattern from the Pickles store, you can create a fun and memorable piece of knitting for the bedroom, living room and more. While this pattern provides guidance for achieving the afghan pictured above, it assumes the knitter is familiar with this technique of knitting.

This is truly a beautiful afghan and worth a look at the pattern which includes the blanket made up in a fabulous mohair. Its light and airy and relatively simple to make. The only tricky part for novice knitters is learning how to pick up the stitches along an edge to make the next rectangle of color. Fortunately the designers give great instructions and also show you how to find youtube videos explaining the techniques used.

Log cabin does not equal candy. Unless it is a cabin made of cookies.

wanted the Candy Afghan...not the log cabin spread

I also was taken to the log cabin spread when clicking on the Candy Afghan.

I clicked on the link for "Candy Afghan" and was taken to the page for the Log Cabin Spread!! When I searched for "Candy Afghan", *nothing* was found! What gives?
