Drape your couch with elegance using this knit afghan pattern that incorporates an intricate lace design. No matter where you decide to show off the Cathedral Lace Afghan, it's bound to steal the show. Created with soft, bulky yarn, this cozy afghan is surprisingly lightweight and elegant. Special thanks to commenter oldstudent 9169160 for coming up with this winning project name.

This is absolutely gorgeous and I love that it is in a chunky yarn. It makes the stitches and lace seem so much more defined. I have a heck of a time with patterns like this though. I get lost in the knit togethers and yarn overs. Does anyone have any tips for working these lace patterns?

I see that your comment is from 2018, so I hope you've found a good working method by now, but if you haven't here's my way of dealing with lace knitting. I use stitch markers between the repeats in the pattern. It helps to think of the YO and k2tog as a couple. Unless there's a decrease somewhere, they have to be somewhere together as a couple. Count your stitches after knitting each repeat until you get comfortable with the YO and k2tog stitches. I also use a Post-it note to follow along with a chart. Cover up everything except the row you are on. It takes a moment to readjust them after each row, but it saves me time in the long run when I lose my place in a chart. Best wishes!

I don't believe putting a color in the title makes sense as that limits the options a person could do with it. That being said, my suggestion is to simplify it to what it looks like and to me it looks like the "Cascading Petals Afghan". Good luck finding a name. Once again, my suggestion is, the "Cascading Petals Afghan"
