The Ridge and Furrow Knit Cowl Pattern is a lovely, silky cowl knitting pattern. This cowl was originally designed for silk yarn, but you can use any fiber you want for this knitted cowl pattern. No matter what kind of yarn you use for this free knitting pattern, you'll love how simple it is to create this easy knitting pattern, since it only uses a 2-row repeat for the entire cowl. Wear this knit cowl under your winter coat for some added warmth at your neck, or style it with a cozy autumn sweater for a more stylish look.

Now this is an adventure in class and style the ridges change the simple moss stitch into sophistication. Have to try it in the silk yarn... and soon.

I'm downloading this one and it will be on my needles soon! I really love the contrasting patterns, with the horizontal bars and seed stitch. I know that seed stitch can be tedious, so having the bars to break it up, and since it's a cowl, not a blanket, I think it will be manageable! I can see that it could be made in any yarn, but I think I like the original idea of a silk. It's possible to splurge when it's just a single skein. Maybe even a cashmere for a true splurge!
