I was wondering - Would you know if it would be hard to add some type of design to this "Friend of the forest hood.? I love the pattern, but I need more texture. Thanks

You could add texture by using a seed or moss stitch, however doing that will cause you to lose the shape and drape of the garment, it only holds it's shape and retains it's drape because of the stitch pattern used to create it.

A subtle look to this pattern, the shade of green accents it and its options a serious cowl in the style of the Benedictines of yore the large collar can sit across the shoulders and around the neck but should weather so dictate, that cowl can open up to cover head and hair, even a bit of the face. Who can resist?

This is such a unique pattern! Adding it to the top of my list of patterns to knit. )
