Looking for a light and airy knit cowl that shows off a variegated yarn? Look no further than the Crooked Creek Cowl. This miracle of a knit cowl pattern require just one skein of yarn and only a bit of your time. What makes this knit cowl pattern really pop is the gorgeous zigzag lace trellis stitch. From what I've seen from this designer, she designs some really cute cowls. This one is just as cute and I love the cable pattern she used. Cables can be a pain, but I think the challenging nature makes them more fun to work up. I think this would look nice in a solid color and the fact that it only uses one skein of yarn is another plus.

Someday I shall count the number of cowl patterns I have saved to knit as gifts for myself and others - this one is casual/smart for that person who doesn't want to make a decision as to which to wear with what with jacket and jeans or dressy sweater and suit for work... that touch of class - I know exactly who will get this one this Christmas
