"This is the 8th or 9th dead link I've hit this morning trying to look at the patterns from one newsletter, i can only presume that the person putting the newsletter together does not have time to check and verify the links."
"New pattern, first time I've seen a picture of it on this site. Unfortunately, there is a problem with the link, when you click on it you receive an "oops" message, that the pattern is no longer available."
"Not sure why you would leave your comment on an entirely different pattern but anyway, the pattern actually specifies and gives step by step instructions on what the chain 5 is- (Bring st back to left-hand needle. K1) 5 times Chain 5 made. Bring st back to left-hand needle. K4tog. Rep from to last 2 (3-1) st(s). Chain 5. Bring st back to left-hand needle. K3 (4-2) tog. Fasten off."

Good thing I read the comments before deciding to make this outfit. I would have been very upset if I got into it and then it went haywire on me. I read the directions and I agree it's missing something around row 7. Maybe when I have more time I can figure out how to fix it.

I should not rate this pattern since I have not made it. I have read the instructions and I can see where there would be a problem if you have never knitted socks before. This pattern seems like a sock pattern up to a certain point and then you have to join the front and back to make it look like a duck foot, if that makes any sense. I really like the pattern though. So cute.

I love this little set it is very cute and I have knitted baby hats loads so that should be fine but I am a bit nervous about knitting the booties, I have never done anything like that before, and reading some of the comments they seem difficult to do or follow, has anyone completed the booties? How did they turn out and any hints or tips for me when doing them?

This pattern is a waste of time! This pattern is all over the place with errors i.e the ducky socks show a photo where the rib is obviously knit 3 purl 1 yet in the pattern it tells you to knit 1 purl 1 rib!!! P2Designs needs an erratta to this pattern as the actual concept is lovely! Off to devise my own pattern.......

I am having a great deal of difficulty with the heel flap. Step 1 seems to be for an even number of stitches, but it is worked on a needle with an odd number. Has anyone ever completed this pattern successfully from these directions?

The hat is really cute and easy to make. But those socks? I cannot figure out the directions, and I have been knitting for close to 40 years - I am not a beginner. So either I have lost my ability to follow a pattern, or there are some missing steps in the instructions.

having issues with the socks. when starting heel flap it states to keep yarn in front is that just for the slip stiches or also when knitting - which would add a stitch in between slip and knit stiitches

Help--I started knitting this and began as directed with the bill. Nowhere did it say to join the wool after dividing onto 3 needles. Was I supposed to do that? After steps 1,2, 3, and getting up to 42 stitches by increasing as directed then it says 7 rnds: k around (or until bikll iks desikred length). How do you combine the stitches on ndls 1 and 2? Some guidance please.

At the "Gusset" portion of the pattern, next to the first two lines, there is a symbol that looks like the letter "Q". Can you tell me what this means? It's a tricky area for me - does it indicate a video is available to explain the directions? Thanks for any enlightenment. sdknitter

@nakanhai 7664191 - When you click on "Click here for knitting pattern" it should take you to a page that has links for both the socks AND the hat. I checked both and they seem to be working. @Carlaoj 3253475 - I was able to print out both patterns. Check to see if you have the most up-to-date version of Adobe installed on your computer. That could be the problem.

All of the instructions for the pattern (both socks and hat) would not print. Some parts came out blank.
