A very nice free pattern for a super-quick, adult-sized earflap hat. A fun hat to make. The pattern has recently been updated with a newer version where the instructions for the earflaps are explained more clearly. The stitches are changed around a bit but it is much clearer now.

I very seldom read an entire knitting pattern before I start because it just makes more sense as I knit along. However, I would recommend giving this one a quick read through. The earflap attachment can be a bit tricky. Just read carefully!!

This reminds me of hats I saw when I was in a part of Eastern Canada too many years ago - have to knit this - those hats were warm on the coldest days. Great for snow shoeing and cross-country skiing up here

This is such a cute pattern! I live in the Midwest, so to have a hat with ear flaps is a MUST in the winter...spring.. and fall

Have tryed several times to download the pattern for the North Shore Hat but have had no luck - I just get a blue bar and nothing else. Very very frustrating.
