Cubs for Kids

About Cubs for Kids:

Cubs For Kids is an organization started out of a love of children and a love of knitting. The purpose of the organization is to allow knitters to use their craft and left over yarn to create something that a child less fortunate would treasure forever.

Here’s how it works:  Cubs For Kids provides the bear cub, pattern for the sweater, hat and scarf.  Knitters provide their creativity and extra yarn. Outfits are sent to us throughout the year.  In early December, the bear cubs are dressed. gift wrapped and donated to children three to various homeless shelters in cities across the country.  Our funding comes from a foundation and several other sources who provide the resources to purchase and ship the bear cubs.  Our knitters provide the handmade clothing.
