Made some for gifts to my lifetime friends. We started out as Bluebirds in the Camp Fire Girls program. Using double pointed needles was a little challenging because with only three or four stitches on each needle, I had a hard time keeping the needles from slipping out until I got it going. Thank you, knitting needle tip protectors, you saved the day.

This little birdy was on of the first knitted toys that I have ever made. The pattern is pretty easy to follow for even a fairly novice knitter. Something that I thought would be cute is to knit up a bunch of these to mount to a baby's mobile. They would also be fun to stuff a rattle into. They are definitely a cute and adorable stash buster project. I will be knitting it up again in the future.
