When someone asks you for knitting needle recommendations, do you tell them to use a certain size, or a certain brand? Have you ever thought to recommend interchangeables? Many sets, much like the Simplicity Boye Needlemaster, come in a set with different cords and lengths that can be swapped to give you plenty of needle sizes in one handy spot.
The Interchangeable Needle System provides you with 8 sets of aluminum single-point knitting needles, cable cords in 20-inch, 24-inch, 29-inch and 36-inch, along with a travel case that includes 4 stitch holders (button) and 2 cable couplers. You'll love that you can knit with circular needles, straight flexible needles, and you can even elongate the cables with the couplers.
To make a longer cable when knitting, all you need to do is join two cables by screwing one metal connector end from each cable into a cable coupler. Then you tighten the cables into the coupler using the point gripper and key. This set truly provides an infinite number of possibilities for any knitting pattern you want to work up.
Having a set like this comes in handy since you can keep organized. The cords don't get tangled and all the needles are packaged in their individual needle holder. The best thing about having a set like this is that you would have any size needle available and all would kept together in a neat case. Very organized!

The Interchangeable needles sound great as I often my knitting when I fly. so they would be much easier to travel with.

The versatility and compactness. The case takes up very little room compared to separate single-point and double-point needles with different size cords for larger projects.

the fact that i can have several projects going at the same time and just change out the needle tips and leave prjects on cables

With interchangeable needles, I will save cost as well as time looking for specific sizes in the store. As I am teaching knitting, they will come in handy. I will also introduce them to my students if I find them easy, versatile and convenient.

I like availability of having many different size needles, as well as different lengths of cables all in one convenient package ready for use at any time. The possibility of being able to win such a treasure would be fantastic.

A set like this would be nice to have in addition to the regular needles. I think I would use this set predominately for when a circular needle is required. My only concern is that if you are knitter like me who has more than one project started that needs the same length of a circular needle but different size needles or vice versa are stuck waiting until a project is complete. Is there a way to have extra cable cords for such situations?
