@Mary1315: The size 80/86 is a European size. It means that the sweater is made for a child who is 80 centimeters tall. This corresponds to about 12 months in U.S. clothing sizes. Hope this helps! -- Editor of AllFreeKnitting

This is a really cute pattern but there is no gauge given and what size 80 means, I have no idea. It certainly isn't cm if it's going to be for a baby. The needle size is given in US sizing which even metric-ignorant US citizens can figure out from mm. But, not a clue about the size 80. If somone would add what size 8o means, it would be a big help because it's certainly a cute pattern.
