Blue Face Worsted Yarn in Pumpkin KingBy: Caitlin Eaton, Editor of AllFreeKnitting
This gorgeous artisan yarn retails for $24 a hank, but it is so worth the money! Each 4 oz. hank features 200 yards of hand painted yarn spun for its strength and durability. I'm making a nice autumn cowl out of my stash, but this yarn could easily be used for a fall sweater, mittens or a hat.
The yarn works up great, is smooth and soft, and has an incredible color that the picture to the left can only scratch the surface of. The rich color of pumpkin skin and flesh are both represented in this yarn, as shades of deep orange and light yellow melt together to create a stunning product.
Because the yarn is not superwash, it will felt beautifully if required for your project. It's recommended that you hand wash this yarn and lay it flat to dry. After trying out some of this lovely yarn for myself, I can definitely say that I will be buying more!
