did not make it so I cannot rate it. but would like to make a shawl, so how many stiches do I need and how much yarn, needle size and what kind of yarn do I need and kind of yarn - name of yarn

Hi dupuispauline 0453011, Great questions! We suggest contacting the designer of this pattern on the PolarKnit website. We do have a large selection of shawls, as well. You can find them on the left side of the site under the tab "Shawls." Thanks! -Editors of AllFreeKnitting

If you want to make a shawl. how many stiches do I need?

I started knitting but I think I am missing something in the instructions. Each time I get to Row 3 and I pass the slipped stitch over, I am reducing the stitches each time I do this and so my scarf is getting smaller and smaller each time I do Row 3. It isn't as wide. Am I missing something??

If its getting smaller and smaller, you may be missing the corresponding yo that goes with the psso, you are reducing with the psso, but increasing with the yo-this should keep the stitch count consistent. You are essentially increasing i stitch before you reduce i stitch. I've made 5 or 6 of these and they have worked out for me with some faffing around with it. I also cast off at the end, I don't run the yarn through the stitches, because that just puckers it up. I know its late, but hopefully it helps.

I can not get the instructions to knit the Four Row Lace Scarf. Can you help me some way?????? Thanks and have a fun day. arb

if you hit get knitting pattern and when it comes up just right click on your mouse somewhere on the pattern it will come up on your computer and when you hit print it will do so. hope this helps
