These mittens are gorgeous. I so love the color combination. While the designer compares them to a sunset, I think they would work equally well as the northern lights. I imagine them in a pale green, with blues and purples. Elegant! Also I love four needle mitten patterns, they fit the hand so nicely and there is no bulky seam when you are finished, just a small hole between the thumb and the mitt, that only takes a few minutes to darn shut.
