This is a classic toque - works for men or women or girls and boys -- just adapt the colour to suit and seems to be a fairly quick knit -- there is something warmer in a handknit hat than a hat from a store

A classic hat pattern suitable for every knitter. I expected to see a men's hat when I clicked and was surprised by the whimsy of adding a pompom. It's a great versatile pattern to use for gifts or charity knitting, too.
