Sunny Cardigan

If you ask me, knit cardigan patterns for the summer should be colorful, easy to knit and flattering. This lovely Sunny Cardigan has it all! Not only is this versatile piece great for summer wardrobes, but it's perfect for adventurous knitters since the majority of the pattern features the simple stockinette and garter stitches. Experienced knitters can experiment with different types of yarns or mix up the edging of the pattern, while knitters who are still learning can sit back and relax while they work on this enjoyable free knitting pattern.

Is this pattern free????

Jun 28, 2013

I think the "easy" label on here is a misnomer. The pattern is written too loosely for this to be an easy/intermediate-beginner pattern. It is like looking at scribbled notes in a project idea book instead of a simple pattern. The instructions are overly simplified, but lack an explanation of how this is actually completed - It wants you to knit the band then "separate the work" into front and back panels while casting on the increase near the armholes... this isn't simple, and the clarity on what this really means is lacking. I'm not sure a lot of people will be picking up this pattern due to how it is written.
