Who said that a knit baby blanket pattern had to be boring? This intricate lace design created by Heather Tucker is more than just a baby blanket; it's a piece of elegant home decor. Knit in the round, this beautifully constructed blanket is made from the outside in. Either the magic loop knitting method, or double pointed needles can be used for the center portion of the blanket.

I started it and had trouble with knowing whether the join was twisted. Gave up after two rows. Had a great thought. Do it backwards. So casted on 6 stitches using the magic cast on with double points. And have basically done the whole pattern upside down. Am now on my last repeat. Should be done soon. Thus makes it much easier to control size. Just increased where it called for decreases at the side markers. Also, for ease I use a marker different from the side markers for each pattern repeat.

I started this when my husband was in the hospital for an extended stay. It was so much fun and turned out so well I've started another one.

It's very beautiful..but not what I am searching for..I had knit my daughter one back in oate 1969..an I have lost the pattern..if I could find it again..I would then knit her one to fit her king size bed.

this pattern has opened ready to print ,strange it would not work earlier

lovely pattern but my computer cannot connect to the instructions ,can get all the other patterns but not the fan lace baby blanket

I would like to know how to print the patterns.

click on "click here for pattern" above by the picture. It will take you to a site where the pattern is listed. Some sites have the pattern on PDF and some sites have a place to click for printing. Some are easier than others. This pattern has both! Hope this helps.
