Great blanket. To follow the video you have to get that particular yarn which looks like a tube. I am sure you could make the same blanket with three strands of bulky yarn as well. I have made these blankets before and they are great for extra warmth. You can make one watching an hour of TV which is great. Thank you for the video and instructions.

If I'm going to make this project 48x60, how many skeins would I need?

This is a very rustic looking blanket. The designer used Premier Couture Jazz yarn, which is actually a 7 jumbo weight yarn (not 6 super bulky as listed above). Couture Jazz is not a strand of yarn, its a knitted tube, so that's why the blanket comes out so thick.

I just learned how to arm knit this week! I'm surprised by how quickly I learned. Granted... I'm not a pro by any stretch of the imagination.

Arm knitting is amazing because it has such immediate gratification. I love it. I've yet to try a blanket, though. I'm excited for this one!!
