Moss Stitch Handwarmers

What immediately drew me to this knit fingerless glove pattern was the bumpy texture of the moss stitch. Conveniently, the Moss Stitch Handwarmers feature a clean, stockinette stitch edge which makes seaming a breeze. Ribbing is also noticeable along the top and bottom of the handwarmers, making these gloves stretchy and form fitting. There is also no need for circular needles. Knit these warmers on straight needles and simply seam them together at the end.

These are lovely, I reduced the no. of stitches I cast on by 10 then just made them long enough to fit my 6 year old's hands. He loved them and hasn't taken them off. They knit up really well and will be making a few pairs for me and my friends!

Don't understand how you save a pattern

The gloves that are green and yellow remind me of pineapple! I sense I will be knitting some of these in the future!

These are too cute! I like vchb's idea of customizing- it's a good basic pattern that can be altered in many different ways. They are great for texting!

love this especially with different colors!

LOVE the pattern as I don't like using DPN's, so versatile and so quick .Thankyou

I have made 2 sets of these handwarmers. The first I followed your pattern. The second I made longer, so knitted #6 needle set 7 times rather than 6. I am now on a third set with an addition: I decided to add a cable with stockinette on each side on the left & right tops, to denote the top from the palm side. I have already received many compliments on these "fingerless gloves." People like the fact that they allow for wearing rings more easily, and provide display of fake fingernails. I have worn them myself -- easy to drive, pick up change & they are warm.

Hi, Can you please elaborate on exactly where and how you made the additions not the left and right tops? thanks so much.
