Four Row Holey Cowl

Are you looking for a stylish cowl that knits up quickly without all that hassle? Let me introduce you to one of my favorite holey knitting patterns: the Four Row Holey Cowl. For this easy lace design, you will need to hold the yarn doubled throughout the pattern. Even beginner knitters will enjoy this trendy piece, which can be knit up in a matter of hours.

After Row 4, the pattern says "knit"; does this mean follow Rows 1-4, etc.

@loanrho, Once you've clicked on the link on this page that says "click here for knitting pattern," you will be taken to the original designer's site. From here, please scroll down until you see: "Here is the pattern: Holy Cowl." Click on the words "Holy Cowl" and the pattern should download and open in a new window. It is a PDF file, so you will need the latest version of Adobe installed on your computer. It is available as a free download here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/ I hope this helps! --Editors of AllFreeKnitting

This was easy and worked FAST, but the 62 stitches it calls for do NOT make it as long as the picture shows. I even used a needles one size larger and it only fit around the neck, not draped longer as shown in the picture. I will make it again, but will probably add at least 50% more when I cast on (in multiples of 6 of course).

Help! This is beautiful and I really want to try it, but I can't get the pattern to open!! I think this pattern will make some beautiful Christmas gifts!!

This is beautiful! I also would like to make it longer so it could be twisted and even used as a head wrap as well. Approximately how many extra stitches need to be cast on to make it long enough to wrap twice around your neck? Would appreciate any help on that one!

Nice looking item. Personally, I would make it longer, so that you can wrap twice round your neck, thereby no gap at neck and would be nice and warm for this coming cold weather!

This is beautiful! I think I'll use it to figure out how to use circular needles! (I've only made washclothes, scarves and easy fingerless gloves - the kind you knit straight, then sew together.) This is a definate MUST do!!
