This shrug is so cute and I would love to make it for my cousins girl, but after reading the pattern I am not sure how the arm hole is knitted. The pattern looks like it is knit in one piece... so if knitted in one piece was it done with 3 balls of yarn where the arm hole starts? Maybe someone can clarify this for me. Maybe i misread the pattern English is not my native language so I am not sure...

This pattern calls for circular knitting needles but the knitting instructions seem to be for straight knitting. Please clarify.

Do you have directions for knitting or crocheting a poncho for a 5 year old?

Hi lksprout, The following patterns are for babies but could be modified for a 5 year old - http://www.allfreeknitting.com/Knitting-for-Babies/ice-queen-baby-poncho/ http://www.allfreeknitting.com/Knitting-for-Babies/5-Hour-Baby-Sweater-Poncho/ http://www.allfreeknitting.com/Knitting-for-Babies/Easy-Baby-Pretty-Poncho/ Thanks!

hello i would like to make this but, i dont know much of knitting i can knit straight rows and all i have made are scarfs...i get confused on understanding the patterns. i dont know what purl or slide is supposed to mean. is there a place to learn how to understand the patterns and learn the basic steps? please help me

Go to the library and look into getting kitting for dummies! I tought myself to knitt and was Having the same problem of not understanding the patterens, got that book and it broke it all down! When I am trying a new pattern I can use the book and I understand it!!!

Hi, vgrogan 1430432. To access the pattern, simply click on the link that says, "Click here for pattern." A new browser window should open with the pattern in full on the designer's website. You should be able to print from there. Hope this helps! - Editors of AllFreeKnitting

When we tried to print this pattern, only the picture came out no directions!!!!

This was such a fun pattern to make. My granddaughter loves her new shrug. Please contact me about the adult version. My knitting club wants to know also. Thank You...

I have been having trouble with the directions under"note" where do these rows apply to the shrug, Also what parts go together for the shoulder seam and collar Linda M dmathoslah@aol.com

Did you get an answer? I have the same question
