Fisherman Turtleneck Sweater

Some sweaters have the power to melt away a bad mood. The Fisherman Turtleneck Sweater is one of those magical articles of clothing. This cozy knit sweater pattern was named after the thick wool sweaters fishermen wear while out at sea. The Fisherman Turtleneck Sweater makes a great project for the seasoned knitter looking for a go-to sweater for fall and winter. So, the next time you're feeling down, pull on this sweater and feel your troubles wash away to sea.

Most of the fisherman knit sweaters I have knit include several patterns - and require time and commitment, while this seems less complicated - more of a basic fisherman. Might even have time to knit it for a late January birthday

I have 11 brothers and one sister. I've made many fisherman sweaters. The pattern, "Fisherman Turtleneck Sweater," offered here, uses the most basic types of stitches. I have some wool, and think I will use this pattern to make a fisherman sweater for myself. Beginner knitters should 'take the plunge' with this pattern. What I do is get 3x5" cards and write each row on a card . Be sure to print a sequence # in a corner. When done with one row, flip to the next card. which should be the next # row. No matter how long it takes me to get back to my knitting, I always know where I am by using the 3x5: cards. Good luck to all!
