Hello hippiegurl, we have just checked the link and it is working on our end. Perhaps try a different browser or make sure the browser you are using is fully updated? -Editors of AllFreeKnitting

I recently received an email from All FreebKnitting and there was a link to download the Baby Snuggle Sack. It is an adorable pattern but when I click on the link I am told that "I am forbidden "to download the pattern to my browser. I have tried a number of things, including clearing my browser. Is this pattern still available and of so do you have any suggestions.m

Hi there, vaanderton! That is strange, as the page is working on our end. There is no download, however, the page you land on when you click "Click here for knitting pattern" brings you to the blog post in which this pattern is written directly. Perhaps try a different browser? -The Editors of AllFreeKnitting

It says this link is not available any more. My browser is fully updated.

Love this pattern! Thank you so much for offering it! I have made many of these for friends with newborns, and they were always received with joy and appreciation! So quick and easy to put together, even for a knitter who has only basic skills! You have given me many hours of happiness creating these!

I am a Newborn Nursery RN and I cleared the use of cocoons with our doctors. First they cannot come up over the baby's shoulders or be loose around their faces. If they are too long they should be folded down at the shoulders and never should they be so loose that they cover any part of the face, even if the baby turns its head.

I am using a different weight yarn to make this for a friend of mine. About how much yarn do you think you used for this project? That would help me to know if I have enough of what I want to use. Thank you for your help. Joamb

How to estimate your yarn: the sack will be about 20" long and 16" around. Knit your 4" x 4" swatch. rip it out and measure how much yarn you used. Multiply that by 20, and that's how much yarn you need. If it takes 5 yards to make your swatch, it will take about 100 yards to make the sack. This pattern calls for using the yarn double; it will take about 90 yds for each strand and that will be a total of 180 of knitting worsted. If you have a weight of yarn, used as a single strand, that gives you the gauge, about 90 yards will do it.

Quiick and easy. I was given a HUGE amount of yarn and am knitting items for a local charity. This was perfect, and I knitted a little hat to match it. I'll definitely be making some more. Thanks for the great pattern!
