"I had remembered a baby shower about two hours before I had to be there! No time for a blanket, but plenty time for some simple booties! I do mean simple! Too simple to give by themselves! I always have these "take out" boxes on hand at Christmas time. There you go... Instant gift! I hand wrote a little fortune...."good things come in small packages"! Not very original, but it worked! The mommy loved them and that's all that matters!"

Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

Materials List

One skein worsted weight medium (4) yarn (will make 4 pair) - Loops & Threads Impeccable 4.5 ozs 268 yards in HEATHER

Please explain better how to fold/ sew these booties. I don't understand your instructions "half turn." Do you mean to twist the piece and sew the CO edge opposite (wrong side) to the right side of the bind off edge? I made the largest size and when folding over to sew they look nothing like your photo.

If you are looking for a special gift to add to a store-bought baby shower gift, these cute fortune cookie booties might just be the answer. I know it is for me! The garter stitch booties are made in two parts, the top and the sole are knit separately and then sewn together.
